Semester 3 Project: A Journey Through an Art Book, Page 4 ,5 ,6 ,7 ,8 ,9 ,10 ,11 ,12 ,13 ,14 & 15

      

Now with the idea of the Hob character in place moving forward I wanted to explore further into the choice of colours to use for the hair and fur. The first three colours I started with as the forefront of palette ideas were Brown, Green and Grey. 

Brown -  Closer to the original depiction, the colour was often used to describe the Hobs hair in Folk Tales.

Green - A colour more familiar with goblins, it is a colour that shows the Hob being a creature of nature and makes it easier for him to hide on the Moors.

Grey - This colour choice is a reference to the stone goblin that started as the inspiration for this project. 


When mentioning how difficult it may be to see the Hob against the green environment (see page 4) I drafted a quick example of the type of colours that would be used in the layout inspired by a photo of a Moorland road.

As a way to observe the flow of the different colours used I compiled all the Hobs and put them on a single page. This was also done to help me make more colour exploration decisions I made on the next book pages.
